...Deli circled cautiously around a big rock. The rock moved. Deli found herself staring at a very large head. She had never seen anything so odd-looking. Whatever the strange creature was, his head was as big as her whole body.

Deli froze, but the creature did not seem to be threatening her, so she whispered, "Hello."

"Helloooo," responded the creature slowly.

"What are you?" Deli spoke with more confidence than she actually felt.

"I am a turtle."

"I am a mouse, and my name is Deli.  What's yours?"

"I am Stucky."

"That's a funny name. I'm going to call you 'Rocky.'"

Deli decided the animal was nice and maybe she could play with him.

"Come on out and play with me.  We will play follow the leader," Deli shouted as she ran in circles around a big tree.

Stucky watched her for a moment, and then, without a word, his big head disappeared inside his shell.

"Hey," Deli exclaimed, knocking on his turtle shell. "Come out here. I demand you come back out." She scowled. "Oh, go ahead. Be that way."
